美媒Ball Report表示，消息人士透露，勇士在交易截止日期間對艾頓表達了興趣。
ClutchPoints記者Brett Siegel轉發并“辟謠”，他表示：“在交易截止日前，沒有球隊有興趣交易得到艾頓，因此他才沒有被交易。開拓者愿意不惜一切來解除他的合同。他可以完全可以確認，勇士在2月份就從未就艾頓一事致電波特蘭?！?/p>
