體育資訊06月29日報道宣 據《福布斯體育》NBA記者Evan Sidery報道，2024年17號秀克內克特仍是湖人陣中強有力的交易候選人，尤其是如果紫金軍團要追求優質中鋒的話。
Sidery表示，（湖人）打包克內克特、配平薪資的球員和選秀資產，對于愿意出售首發級別大個子的球隊而言，仍是一個有吸引力的交易回報。
今年2月初，湖人一度和黃蜂達成協議，將克內克特、雷迪什、2031年無保護首輪簽、2030年首輪簽互換權送去夏洛特，換來馬克-威廉姆斯。但后來，湖人在馬威的體檢中發現諸多問題，取消了這筆交易。
