體育資訊6月26日報道宣 NBA選秀大會，中國球員楊瀚森在首輪第16順位被開拓者選中。開拓者GM喬-克羅寧隨后接受了采訪。
克羅寧表示，楊瀚森一個“非同尋常的選擇”，球隊上下都感到興奮極了。
隨后克羅寧談到了球隊中鋒位置人員擁擠的情況：“這個問題會隨著時間解決。我們歷屆選秀的原則都是選擇當時能選到的最好球員。”
克羅寧談到兩年前曾派出兩名總經理助理赴華考察楊瀚森："他們留下了極其深刻的印象，我們本來希望他能參加去年的選秀。"
