開拓者這個16號簽是用11號簽換來了，在首輪第11順位，開拓者選擇了來自華盛頓州立大學錫德里克-科沃德（Cedric Coward）并將他交易至孟菲斯灰熊，換回本屆選秀大會16號簽以及2028年（魔術）的首輪簽外加兩記次輪簽。
