皮爾斯表示：“達(dá)拉斯給你弗拉格，先簽后換加福德，先續(xù)約加福德再交易，把狀元簽給雄鹿……先續(xù)約加福德，他需要2000萬(wàn)年薪，然后再加上一些其他球員，讓這筆交易可以達(dá)成。”
加福德的合同將進(jìn)入最后一年（3年4018萬(wàn)美元，2025-26賽季薪資是1439萬(wàn)美元），而他完全有理由要求符合首發(fā)中鋒身價(jià)的薪資。
