此役，奧尼爾出場11分鐘，9投8中，得到17分5籃板3助攻；科比出戰(zhàn)29分鐘，23投12中，得到27分4籃板4助攻4搶斷。
這是NBA歷史上第四次有兩名球員同時(shí)獲得全明星賽MVP，前三次分別是1959年的埃爾金-貝勒和鮑勃-佩蒂特、1993年的馬龍和斯托克頓、2000年的奧尼爾和鄧肯。
